86 Hospitalized After Latest Iranian Strikes, Says Israel’s Health Ministry
Eighty-six people were hospitalized overnight and into Sunday morning following a new wave of Iranian missile strikes on Israel, according to the country’s Ministry of Health. Among them, two sustained moderate injuries, 77 were lightly injured, and four were treated for anxiety. Three others remain under medical evaluation.
Since Iran began its retaliatory strikes on June 13 — following Israel’s military action against Iranian targets — a total of 2,835 Israelis have been hospitalized. The ministry reports 23 seriously injured, 107 moderately injured, 2,555 lightly injured, and 119 treated for anxiety.
Authorities also confirmed that around 20 people sustained light injuries when missiles struck a residential area in Tel Aviv, according to the city's police spokesperson.
“The missiles hit a cluster of residential buildings,” said Dean Elsdunne, international spokesperson for the Israeli police, speaking from the Ramat Aviv neighborhood. Emergency crews are continuing to search the rubble for possible survivors and are seeking missile debris.
Elsdunne added that responders are awaiting reports from families who may have lost contact with residents in the area. The neighborhood struck lies close to both a shopping mall and a school.
